Yes, Safe Home KC is fully licensed in Kansas City, Missouri and Johnson County, Kansas. We carry $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate general liability insurance. We are happy to provide proof of insurance and licensing upon request.
Installation timelines vary by project scope. Grab bar installations typically take 1 to 2 hours. A full bathroom safety overhaul takes 1 to 3 days. Walk-in tub installations usually require 2 to 5 days. Wheelchair ramp construction takes 1 to 3 days depending on length and complexity. We always provide a detailed timeline before starting any work.
Yes, we offer flexible payment plans on projects over $5,000. Our standard payment structure is 25% due at project start, 50% at the midpoint, and the final 25% upon completion. We work with you to find a payment arrangement that fits your budget. Contact us to discuss your options.
Original Medicare generally does not cover home modifications such as grab bars, ramps, or bathroom remodels. However, some Medicare Advantage plans do include home modification benefits. Absolutely. We handle everything from a single grab bar installation to whole-home safety transformations. No job is too small. Many of our clients start with one or two grab bars and later add additional modifications as their needs change. We are happy to help at any scale.
We use only trusted, high-quality brands that are proven in accessibility and aging-in-place applications. Our preferred brands include Moen, Delta, American Standard, and Kohler for bathroom fixtures and grab bars, and Harmar and Bruno for stairlifts and vertical platform lifts. We select products based on durability, safety ratings, and aesthetics.
Yes, we have experience helping Kansas City veterans navigate VA home modification benefits. The VA offers several grant programs including the Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant, the Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant, and the Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA) grant.
