About Safe Home KC

Safe Home KC was born out of a moment that too many families know all too well. A senior we cared about took a fall at home, not in some dramatic accident, but stepping out of the bathtub on an ordinary Tuesday morning. Her family rushed to help, and when they went looking for someone to make her home safer, they found a surprising gap: nobody in Kansas City focused exclusively on senior home safety. General contractors were available, but none who truly understood what aging in place actually requires.

That gap stayed with us. We watched families piece together solutions from handymen who meant well but lacked the expertise, or large remodeling companies that treated accessibility as an afterthought. Seniors deserved better. Their families deserved peace of mind.

So we built Safe Home KC. We studied aging-in-place best practices, got licensed on both sides of the state line, and committed to one standard: treat every client's home the way we would treat our own parents' home. That commitment is what drives every assessment, every installation, and every follow-up call we make.
